the background turned out cooler than expected. i had no idea what i was doing so it was an awesome mistake.

im going to add some REALLY water-y tan watercolor to the scarf and hair to tie in with the background colors

vine charcoal
not finished...sorry the pic is on an angle
i need to fix the arm/hands, more contrast on the face, do the inner ear, more shade around the eyes, shades on the shirt
my goal= work on it 20 min each night for a week.
and maybe ill use the charcoal pencils for details.
and you should be happy cuz i stayed clean with this charcoal piece!! yay. usually my hands are just total black.
p.s. the lovely model is matt clark. haha/

i wish i could draw like this.
look at the shading on the teeth and the eyes. its perfect.
and the texture on the puff ball on the hat. and the proportions. and the lips.
